As you know DD Free Dish is broadcasting 5 HD definition TV channels without any cost. You can enable Dolby Audio in these channels. However, it depends on which channel is broadcasting in premium audio or not. But you can try to follow this setting.
To enable Dolby Audio in a Free DTH Android Set-Top Box, you can follow these simple steps -
Using Free DTH Android Set-Top Box -
Enable Dolby through the Free DTH Android Set-Top Box Settings
Go to the Settings menu on your Set-Top Box. if you have ATV software in your Free DTH Android Set-Top Box then follow the below steps.
Scroll down and select "Device Preferences"
Now find "Sound" settings, and click on that.
Here you will find the option to select formats. If you have selected "Auto format" then click on manual format. now you will find various premium audio formats. You can select according to sound setup or home theater system.
Here you can look for "Audio Format" or "Sound Mode" and select "Dolby Digital" or "Dolby Digital Plus" (if available).
Save the changes.
Using Dolby Soundbar or Home Theater -
If you don't find Dolby audio in the sound settings then you can follow this step to enable Dolby digital sound on your DD Free dish android set-top box.
Enable Dolby through HDMI Settings
Ensure your Set-Top Box is connected to your TV via an HDMI cable.
Go to the HDMI settings on your Free DTH Android Set-Top Box.
Set the HDMI audio format to "Pass Through" "Bitstream" or "Auto" (this allows the Set-Top Box to send Dolby audio signals).
Save the changes.
