The new newsroom has state-of-the-art multi-media production facilities that will enhance the quality of news production at DD News Assam, providing credible news to the people of Assam. Therefore, in the coming time, the running time of news bulletins may also increase, and it is also possible that a special 24-hour news channel DD News Assam may also be launched for the state of Assam, Bharat.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the enhanced facilities in the newsroom of Doordarshan Kendra Assam will enable it to provide quality news to the people of the region.
Shri Anurag Thakur also said that the present government is always keen on the states of India in the East and North. Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers this region as Ashtalakshmi and gives top priority to the development of the North-Eastern region.
