The channel primarily focuses on dubbed South Indian films in Hindi. The channel gained popularity within a short period after its launch, reaching the top spot in the free-to-air Hindi film channel category channels.

The Dhinchaak channel will continue on DD Free Dish in 2024-25 because the channel won the 75th annual e-auction of DD Free Dish MPEG-2 slots. Dhinchaak TV is a free-to-air TV channel.
