The Ku-band LNB is mounted on the DD Freedish DTH dish antenna and receives the signals transmitted by the satellite in the Ku-band frequency range. The LNB downconverts the received signals to a lower frequency range (usually in the L-band frequency range), which can be easily transmitted through the coaxial cable to the satellite receiver.
