It is again good news for the viewers of Doordarshan Free Dish that Prasar Bharati is inviting private satellite TV channels through an online auction for the vacant MPEG-2 slot of its DD Free Dish.

That is if any Indian private TV channel or international private TV channel wants to join the DD Freedish then this is a good opportunity. For this, arrangements have also been made to apply online.

Advantage of private TV channel joining DD Freedish -

DD Freedish is the most viewed DTH service in India. The DD free dish is not just limited to villages or towns, but it is now being liked in cities as well. The biggest reason for this, it does not cost a month, just install this system once and you will start to get national and regional TV channels of Doordarshan for free for life as well as private satellite TV channels.

To connect these private TV channels to the DD Free Dish DTH platform, Prasar Bharati adds private TV channels through the auction process from time to time. This time also Prasar Bharati has invited applications for private TV channels desirous of connecting private TV channels.

Which private TV channels can participate?

TV channels licensed by the Government of India can apply.

The international TV channel which is approved by the Government of India can also apply.

What is the last date?

The Last Date for submission of applications / Original Demand Draft for participation fee in case of online application is 01.06.2020 latest by 3.00 P.M.

How long will the channels added by this auction remain on DD free dish?

Prasar Bharati invites applications to fill up vacant MPEG-2 slot of DD Free Dish DTH Platform on for the period from 01.04.2020 to 31.03.2021 through online e-auction process.
