Doordarshan's DD Freedish (Prasar Bharati) Invited Application for 42nd Online e-auction from Private TV Channels as Pro-Rata BasisAfter a long period, DD Free dish invited application for 42nd online e-auction from private TV channels of India. The Application will be invited for vacant MPEG-2 slots of the DD Free dish platform.

Here are short information of this 42nd online e-auction -

Period - 01.12.2019 to 29.02.2020 (80 days)
Other - This e-auction is divided into 5 bouquets and total 10 sub bouquets, which are -

• GEC (Hindi)    - Bucket A+
• Movies (Hindi) - Bucket A
• Music (Hindi)  - Bucket B
• Sports (Hindi) - Bucket B
• GEC & Movies (Bhojpuri) - Bucket B
• Teleshopping (Hindi)   - Bucket B
• News & Current Affairs (Hindi) - Bucket C
• News & Current Affairs (English) - Bucket C
• News & Current Affairs (Punjabi) - Bucket C
• Other Genres

Please note, this time Prasar Bharti demanded few additional details from private television broadcasters that "channels may also furnish any other documentary evidence from regulatory/Govt. authorities (TRAI, MIB) Television rating Agency (e.g. BARC) that could clearly establish their genre classification."

Private TV channel should have valid permission and license to downlink TV Channels in India by the Ministry of Information and
Broadcasting India.

Private TV channels should also submit a copy of the logo of the channel permitted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
