Doordarshan Bengaluru takes a new initiative. DD Roshini an educational channel started as a Pilot on the Digital Terrestrial Platform of DD in partnership with Microsoft and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) schools.

This channel is available Digital Terrestrial Television Platform of Doordarshan in Bengaluru. To receive this channel you have to buy a DVB-T2 digital set-top box with a DVB-T2 indoor/outdoor antenna.

What channels are on DTT?

DTT is the 2nd generation of Terrestrial Television Network. Like DVB-T to DVB-T2. DTT was an analog TV reception that is used to watch Doordarshan channels all over India including villages, whereas another side DVB-T2 is a digital terrestrial network. You can use the same antenna to receive digital TV channels. You can receive multiple TV and radio channels with crystal-clear sound and pictures.

How do I get DTT channels?

All analog (old) TV sets will be able to receive DTT, provided you connect it to a DTT or DVB-T2-enabled Set-Top Box. If you are buying a new TV like a smart TV then do not forget to confirm with the manufacturers about it is an inbuilt digital tuner or not.
