Rescan DD Freedish MPEG-4 Set-Top Box with New Frequency - Watch Video

As you know we have already informed our visitors that DD Freedish migrating its DTH service " DD Free Dish" from old satellite INSAT4B to new satellite GSAT15 with effect from 1st February 2016.

We are requested to all DD Free Dish viewers follow the given below steps to rescan or retune your set-top Box after 1st February 2016.

Here are some steps for returning or rescanning your set-top box (The installation menu may be different according to set-top box manufacturers).
  • Press the “Menu” Button on the Remote of Set Top Box.
  • Select “Installation”.
  • Go to “Manual Search”.
  • Select Satellite Name (Select /Edit)
  • Select / Change TP.
  • Enter Frequency ( one by one) to 11090 / 11170 / 11470 / 11510 / 11550 MHz.
  • Edit/Change Symbol Rate to 29500 Ksps and Polarization to “Vertical”
  • SAVE / OK the setting and SCAN the SET-TOP Box.
  • Press the “EXIT” Button on the Remote.

DD Free dish MPEG-4 satellite setting -

Below you can find mpeg4 set-top box settings, so you can rescan your any free-to-air MPEG-4 set-top box on own. Most DD Free dish mpeg4 set-top box available with the same UI, Features, and functions. But still, there may be some different options. You can ask installation process from your nearby shopkeeper.

DD Free Dish Latest Frequency List with Satellite Position Details


You can also use Auto Scan / Blind scan feature in your set-top box to re-tune your set-top box automatically, no need to fill frequencies manually.

      1. Program setup
      2. Auto Scan
      (i) LNB Freq 05150 05150
      (ii) Scan mode: Free/All: select 'All'.
      (iii) 22K: Off/On: select 'On'.

      (iv) DiSEqC: Off/On: select 'Off'.
      3. Now, press 'OK' on tv remote.

      All available channels will appear.

    I am not able the see the channels under the frequency 11550/V/29500 in my set top box. Rest of all channels on other frequencies viewing perfectly. Anyone can help to view the same.

    I tried the idea whatever suggested by a user but the problem remain same.
    Is this problem really related to angle of dish or skewness of LNB or
    some settings to be done in set top box?

      Mr Vishnu, Prasad here from Bangalore.
      Even I had the same problem as yours.
      I changed the LNB and I retuned it as explained.
      Problem solved I am getting all the 80 channels now.
      Please try it.

    I added all 80 channel and now i am able to view 80/80 signal strength max 50% min 23%, but no issue picture quilty.
    I hope below steps will help you.
    1.menu> program setup> add new Frequency.
    2.LNB Feq. = 09750 - 09750
    3.Trans Freq= 11090 MHZ,
    3A.11170 3B.11470 3C.11510 3D.11550
    4.symbole rate= 29500
    5.polarity= v
    6.22K= off
    7. diseqc= off
    8.mode= all

    Then scan and once done ok OK and exit.
    Repeat 1 to 8 steps but change the Trans Freq.( Step 3a,b,c,d) to add all 80 channel.

    Do not delete channels or change dish direction for new channels.

    sir i am using solid 6303 dvb after tuning all the channels are successfully stored. the quality and strength of signal is 73% and 91% respectively. But the problem is that channels like star and zee and other private provider's signal is always vari and not stable. please suggest.
